A Question of Convenience

I write today to ask you all, why is it that gas station convenience items are the exact opposite of what they advertise? Especially their sandwich line? (I'm talking to you Deli Express!) Do they honestly think that these items are the least bit convenient to eat while driving? Because they certainly aren't!

Yesterday, I had a job interview on campus, and I hadn't eaten before I left to fill gas. So I decided that I might as well stock up on food as well as gas in one handy stop...as these gas stations so ingeniously lure most of their customers. I figured that I didn't want to go into an interview smelling of McDonald's and have fry breath.

However, as I'm trying to turn onto the freeway, I was also trying to open my sandwich. And let me tell you...it was the hardest thing I've ever had to open! There was no handy peel to open my sandwich, but rather, I had to pop the plastic open with my teeth. The people next to me at the stop light must've thought I looked pretty ridiculous, because I certainly felt that way.

So in short:

Deli Express - 1
Cassie - 0
